Auction result well in line with expectations
In March this year Bonhams held the auction Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art Online, which included the work Untitled (Man & Woman with Spirit) by Shanti Panchal. The price achieved of GBP 1,020.00 (€ 1,160.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Shanti Panchal have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Setting Sun in October 2004 with an auction result of GBP 5,975.00 (€ 8,599.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Man & Woman with Spirit) von Shanti Panchal zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.020,00 (€ 1.160,45) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shanti Panchal auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Setting Sun im Oktober 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.975,00 (€ 8.599,67).
