Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Winged Pilgrims (Robes) # 1 by Sheba Chhachhi was sold in the South Asian Modern and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in New York in March 2012. The price achieved of USD 15,000.00 (€ 11,249.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sheba Chhachhi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Seventy Synonyms of Water in Sanskrit, which sold at auction in September 2016 for USD 37,500.00 (€ 33,368.93).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 11.249,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden.
