Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2005 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY, which included the work Poem In Running Script Calligraphy by Shen Deqian. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 31,200.00 (€ 3,413.74) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shen Deqian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Couplet In Running Script in April this year with an auction result of HKD 54,000.00 (€ 55,144.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2005 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY durch, in der auch die Arbeit Poem In Running Script Calligraphy von Shen Deqian zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 31.200,00 (€ 3.413,74) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shen Deqian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Couplet In Running Script im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 54.000,00 (€ 55.144,57).
