Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2020 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Urban & Pop Contemporary, which included the work Obey Angela Davis - 2005 by Shepard Fairey. It changed hands for a price of EUR 19,500.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shepard Fairey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Obama Hope in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 600,800.00 (€ 515,840.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Urban & Pop Contemporary durch, in der auch die Arbeit Obey Angela Davis - 2005 von Shepard Fairey zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 19.500,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shepard Fairey erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Obama Hope im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 600.800,00 (€ 515.840,99).
