The work Portrait of Qu Yuan by Shi Qi was sold in the Chinese Contemporary Ink Paintings - Contemporary Chinese Classical Paintings & Contemporary Chinese New Paintings auction at POLY in August last year. It achieved a price of HKD 59,000.00 (€ 7,468.06), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shi Qi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Spring in April this year with an auction result of HKD 288,000.00 (€ 294,104.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Portrait of Qu Yuan von Shi Qi wurde im August letzten Jahres in der Auktion Chinese Contemporary Ink Paintings - Contemporary Chinese Classical Paintings & Contemporary Chinese New Paintings bei POLY versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 59.000,00 (€ 7.468,06) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 18%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shi Qi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Spring im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 288.000,00 (€ 294.104,35).
