Auction result well in line with expectations

In July last year Bonhams in New York held the auction AeropitturaItalian Futurism in Flight, which included the work Spirale di luce sul Circeo by Sibò. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 5,100.00 (€ 6,090.31) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sibò - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Prospettive aeree, which sold at auction in April last year for GBP 12,750.00 (€ 15,203.92).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion AeropitturaItalian Futurism in Flight durch, in der auch die Arbeit Spirale di luce sul Circeo von Sibò zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 5.100,00 (€ 6.090,31) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Sibò mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Prospettive aeree beobachtet, die im April letzten Jahres für GBP 12.750,00 (€ 15.203,92) versteigert wurde.
