The work Blancs by Simon Hantaï was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in September 2020. It achieved a price of EUR 762,700.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 53 %. Admittedly, works by Simon Hantaï have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work M.A.4 (Mariale) in December 2016 with an auction result of EUR 4,432,500.00.

Die Arbeit Blancs von Simon Hantaï kam im September 2020 bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 762.700,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 53 %. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Simon Hantaï auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit M.A.4 (Mariale) im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 4.432.500,00.
