Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Victory by Alfred Gilbert was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2006. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 5,040.00 (€ 7,292.80). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred Gilbert achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Saint George in December 2014 with an auction result of GBP 338,500.00 (€ 435,761.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Victory von Alfred Gilbert kam im Juni 2006 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 5.040,00 (€ 7.292,80) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfred Gilbert erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Saint George im Dezember 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 338.500,00 (€ 435.761,76).
