Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Terrace, Agra by Hugh Casson was sold in the Snowdon: A Life in Art and Objects auction at Christies in London in September 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 750.00 (€ 827.00) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hugh Casson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work An original architectural plan for the Festival of Britain, 1951, which sold at auction in December 2002 for GBP 1,645.00 (€ 2,525.16).

Die Arbeit Terrace, Agra von Hugh Casson wurde im September 2020 in der Auktion Snowdon: A Life in Art and Objects bei Christies in London versteigert.
