Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Artcurial in Paris held the auction African Contemporary Art, which included the work Sans Titre (Deux Personnages En Voiture) by Siriki Ky. It changed hands for a price of EUR 918.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 500.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Siriki Ky achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Reine Mère, 2019 in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 11,180.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion African Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sans Titre (Deux Personnages En Voiture) von Siriki Ky zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 918,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 500,00 – 1.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Siriki Ky erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Reine Mère, 2019 im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 11.180,00.
