Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Sofia Ludvigovna Zaklikovskaya could be acquired at Sothebys in London in November 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Russian Paintings auction, the work Stages Of Life changed hands for GBP 17,500.00 (€ 21,158.82) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 25,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sofia Ludvigovna Zaklikovskaya - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work People And Animals, which sold at auction in June 2007 for GBP 33,600.00 (€ 49,860.71).
