Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Complex form with colours superimposed by Sol LeWitt was auctioned at Bonhams in Paris in June last year. The price achieved of EUR 14,025.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sol LeWitt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wavy Brushstrokes in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 449,000.00 (€ 636,531.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Complex form with colours superimposed von Sol LeWitt kam im Juni letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 14.025,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sol LeWitt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Wavy Brushstrokes im Juli 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 449.000,00 (€ 636.531,19).
