This artwork by Stephen Conroy achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2012. In the Property of the Scheringa Museum of Realist Art auction, the work Head study II sold for EUR 6,250.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Stephen Conroy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L.R. in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 86,900.00 (€ 124,794.12).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Stephen Conroy erzielte im September 2012 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Property of the Scheringa Museum of Realist Art wurde die Arbeit Head study II für EUR 6.250,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 3.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Stephen Conroy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit L.R. im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 86.900,00 (€ 124.794,12).
