Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2008 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Westward racing on the Clyde by Stewart Joyce. The price achieved of GBP 500.00 (€ 604.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Stewart Joyce - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work White Heather at full pelt off Old Castle Point, Cowes, which sold at auction in November 2007 for GBP 1,187.50 (€ 1,662.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Westward racing on the Clyde von Stewart Joyce zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 500,00 (€ 604,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Stewart Joyce mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit White Heather at full pelt off Old Castle Point, Cowes beobachtet, die im November 2007 für GBP 1.187,50 (€ 1.662,81) versteigert wurde.
