Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2005 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction FINE MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY CHINESE PAINTINGS II, which included the work Prunus by Sun Duoci. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 26,400.00 (€ 2,888.55) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sun Duoci - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Double Bliss(Painted In 1953), which sold at auction in October 2017 for HKD 76,700.00 (€ 8,441.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2005 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion FINE MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY CHINESE PAINTINGS II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Prunus von Sun Duoci zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 26.400,00 (€ 2.888,55) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Sun Duoci mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Double Bliss(Painted In 1953) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für HKD 76.700,00 (€ 8.441,74) versteigert wurde.
