Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Boating, Regent'S Park by Sylvia Gosse was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2008. The price achieved of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 6,054.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sylvia Gosse - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Fairground, which sold at auction in November 2020 for GBP 20,160.00 (€ 22,505.36).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 6.054,55) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Sylvia Gosse mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Fairground beobachtet, die im November 2020 für GBP 20.160,00 (€ 22.505,36) versteigert wurde.
