Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ashitakayama Fumoto (The Foot Of The Mount Ashitaka) by Takahashi Shōtei was auctioned at Christies in New York in March 2021. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,322.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Takahashi Shōtei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Abalone diver, 1931.8 in September 2010 with an auction result of USD 62,500.00 (€ 45,952.50).
