Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2010 a collector was able to acquire the work Coming Over The Hill by Takao Tanabe for CAD 9,600.00 (€ 7,363.83). This price was achieved in the auction Important Canadian Art at Sothebys in Toronto and was even below the estimate range of CAD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Takao Tanabe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Foothills, Banff, which sold at auction in May 2011 for CAD 25,200.00 (€ 18,093.66).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2010 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Coming Over The Hill von Takao Tanabe für CAD 9.600,00 (€ 7.363,83) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Important Canadian Art bei Sothebys in Toronto erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von CAD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Takao Tanabe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Foothills, Banff beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für CAD 25.200,00 (€ 18.093,66) versteigert wurde.
