Auction result well in line with expectations
The work EYE LOVE SUPERFLAT by Takashi Murakami was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2017. It changed hands for a price of HKD 1,375,000.00 (€ 157,006.50) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 1,000,000.00 – 1,500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Takashi Murakami achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work My Lonesome Cowboy in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 15,161,000.00 (€ 9,743,573.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit EYE LOVE SUPERFLAT von Takashi Murakami wurde im Mai 2017 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 1.375.000,00 (€ 157.006,50) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 1.000.000,00 – 1.500.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Takashi Murakami erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit My Lonesome Cowboy im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.161.000,00 (€ 9.743.573,26).
