Auction result misses estimated price range
In June this year a collector was able to acquire the work Lijiang Riverscape, 1979 by Tao Yiqing for USD 640.00 (€ 586.08). This price was achieved in the auction Decorative Asian Works of Art Online at Bonhams in Paris and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tao Yiqing achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Countryside Landscape in July 2020 with an auction result of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 43,825.38).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Lijiang Riverscape, 1979 von Tao Yiqing für USD 640,00 (€ 586,08) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Decorative Asian Works of Art Online bei Bonhams in Paris erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tao Yiqing erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Countryside Landscape im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 43.825,38).
