Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Tauba Auerbach could be acquired at Christies in London in October this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the LOVE STORIES - from the collection of Anne & Wolfgang Titze auction, the work Corrugation III changed hands for EUR 63,000.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tauba Auerbach achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Fold) in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 1,426,500.00 (€ 1,995,317.20).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tauba Auerbach konnte im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion LOVE STORIES - from the collection of Anne & Wolfgang Titze wechselte die Arbeit Corrugation III für EUR 63.000,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tauba Auerbach erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Fold) im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.426.500,00 (€ 1.995.317,20).
