Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2008 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Evening Sale), which included this untitled work by Tetsuya Ishida. It changed hands for a price of HKD 2,900,000.00 (€ 294,706.16) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 2,000,000.00 – 3,000,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tetsuya Ishida - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Men On A Belt Conveyor, which sold at auction in July last year for HKD 8,064,000.00 (€ 1,006,221.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2008 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Tetsuya Ishida zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 2.900.000,00 (€ 294.706,16) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 2.000.000,00 – 3.000.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Tetsuya Ishida mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Men On A Belt Conveyor beobachtet, die im Juli letzten Jahres für HKD 8.064.000,00 (€ 1.006.221,53) versteigert wurde.
