Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2013 Christies in New York held the auction Renaissance, which included the work A Triptych: The Adoration Of The Magi by The Master Of The Antwerp Adoration. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 500,000.00 – 800,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 530,500.00 (€ 390,532.98) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by The Master Of The Antwerp Adoration - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A triptych: the central panel: The Crucifixion; the wings: the inner faces: A Donor, Saint James, a Carthusian monk with an angel and Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane; A Donor, Saint Elizabeth of Hungary, a beggar with an angel and Christ Appearing to M, which sold at auction in July 2017 for GBP 965,

Im Januar 2013 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Renaissance durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Triptych: The Adoration Of The Magi von The Master Of The Antwerp Adoration zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 500.000,00 – 800.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 530.500,00 (€ 390.532,98) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
