Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work H.C. Andersen, Le valeureux petit soldat by Théo Tobiasse was auctioned at Christies in New York in June 2016, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 5,000.00 – 700,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 3,000.00 (€ 2,719.36). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Théo Tobiasse achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Joueur De Jazz Et La Vache Bleue in December 2012 with an auction result of EUR 60,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit H.C. Andersen, Le valeureux petit soldat von Théo Tobiasse im Juni 2016 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 700.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 3.000,00 (€ 2.719,36) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Théo Tobiasse erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Joueur De Jazz Et La Vache Bleue im Dezember 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 60.750,00.
