Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2020 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Modern Design | Art, which included the work Black Cats in a Bottle by Thermom Statom. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,083.00 (€ 924.22) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Thermom Statom have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in January 2014 the work Eurasian Mask was auctioned for USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,388.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2020 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Modern Design | Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Black Cats in a Bottle von Thermom Statom zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.083,00 (€ 924,22) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Thermom Statom konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Januar 2014 die Arbeit Eurasian Mask für USD 1.875,00 (€ 1.388,89) versteigert.
