This artwork by Thierry De Cordier achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2015. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art auction, the work Patate Électrique (Electric Potato) sold for EUR 85,500.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Thierry De Cordier have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tempête En Mer Du Nord, Étude No. 3 in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 380,750.00 (€ 434,129.53).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Thierry De Cordier erzielte im November 2015 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Patate Électrique (Electric Potato) für EUR 85.500,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Thierry De Cordier auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tempête En Mer Du Nord, Étude No. 3 im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 380.750,00 (€ 434.129,53).
