Artwork auctioned at six times the upper estimate price
When this work without title by Thilo Heinzmann was auctioned at Christies in London in February 2012, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - GBP 1,500.00 but the actual price achieved was more than six times as high at GBP 9,750.00 (€ 11,641.76). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thilo Heinzmann - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work O. T., which sold at auction in December 2021 for EUR 31,680.00.
Kunstwerk zum Sechsfachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit ohne Titel von Thilo Heinzmann im Februar 2012 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – GBP 1.500,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit GBP 9.750,00 (€ 11.641,76) mehr als sechsmal so hoch. Für andere Arbeiten von Thilo Heinzmann mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit O. T. beobachtet, die im Dezember 2021 für EUR 31.680,00 versteigert wurde.
