Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Along The Lake Shore by Thomas Doughty was auctioned at Christies in New York in March 2005. The price achieved of USD 6,000.00 (€ 4,626.42) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Doughty achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Autumn Landscape in November 2001 with an auction result of USD 292,000.00 (€ 325,965.62).
