Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Nacht 5 II, 1992 by Thomas Ruff was sold in the Collection Jean-Paul Jungo auction at Christies in Paris in May 2016. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,750.00 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Ruff achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jpeg pt01 in March 2017 with an auction result of GBP 197,000.00 (€ 230,864.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Nacht 5 II, 1992 von Thomas Ruff wurde im Mai 2016 in der Auktion Collection Jean-Paul Jungo bei Christies in Paris versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.750,00 und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thomas Ruff erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Jpeg pt01 im März 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 197.000,00 (€ 230.864,55).
