In February 2012 Christies in London held the auction The Collection of Will Fisher: Founder of Jamb, which included the work A grey hunter in a landscape by Thomas Woodward. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,985.07), 67% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Woodward achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Pointer Coming Upon A Hare in June 2001 with an auction result of GBP 30,550.00 (€ 50,749.63).

Oberer Schätzpreis um 67 % übertroffen

Im Februar 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Collection of Will Fisher: Founder of Jamb durch, in der auch die Arbeit A grey hunter in a landscape von Thomas Woodward zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.985,07) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thomas Woodward erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Pointer Coming Upon A Hare im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 30.550,00 (€ 50.749,63).
