Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Study for Great American Nude by Tom Wesselmann was auctioned at Christies in Paris in November last year. It achieved a price of EUR 35,280.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18 %. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tom Wesselmann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Great American Nude No. 48 in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 10,681,000.00 (€ 6,864,395.89).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Study for Great American Nude von Tom Wesselmann kam im November letzten Jahres bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 35.280,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 18 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tom Wesselmann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Great American Nude No. 48 im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.681.000,00 (€ 6.864.395,89).
