Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2018 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Visión de orilla by Tomás Sánchez. It changed hands for a price of USD 552,500.00 (€ 473,436.16) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tomás Sánchez - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Llegada del caminante a la laguna, which sold at auction in March last year for USD 1,800,000.00 (€ 1,622,644.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Visión de orilla von Tomás Sánchez zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 552.500,00 (€ 473.436,16) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Tomás Sánchez mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Llegada del caminante a la laguna beobachtet, die im März letzten Jahres für USD 1.800.000,00 (€ 1.622.644,91) versteigert wurde.
