Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2017 Christies in London held the auction Modern British & Irish Art Evening Sale, which included the work Head by Tony Bevan. The price achieved of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 53,919.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tony Bevan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Corridor, which sold at auction in October 2017 for GBP 112,500.00 (€ 128,272.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern British & Irish Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Head von Tony Bevan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 47.500,00 (€ 53.919,57) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Tony Bevan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Corridor beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für GBP 112.500,00 (€ 128.272,02) versteigert wurde.
