In February 2012 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Street Art, which included the work Sans Titre, 2008 by Toxic. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 5,100.00 70% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Toxic have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Return of the money snatchers part 5 in September last year with an auction result of EUR 27,720.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 70 % übertroffen
Im Februar 2012 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Street Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sans Titre, 2008 von Toxic zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 5.100,00 und damit 70% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Toxic auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Return of the money snatchers part 5 im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 27.720,00.
