This artwork by Trần Văn Cẩn achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Hong Kong in April 2020. In the Ritual + Culture OnlineFine Southeast Asian Arts auction, the work Đại Nội, Hue sold for HKD 119,375.00 (€ 14,056.94) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Trần Văn Cẩn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Farmers in December 2021 with an auction result of HKD 1,638,000.00 (€ 185,537.73).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Trần Văn Cẩn erzielte im April 2020 bei Bonhams in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Ritual + Culture OnlineFine Southeast Asian Arts wurde die Arbeit Đại Nội, Hue für HKD 119.375,00 (€ 14.056,94) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 40.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Trần Văn Cẩn erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Farmers im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.638.000,00 (€ 185.537,73).
