A top price for Tsuchiya Koitsu
This artwork by Tsuchiya Koitsu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in New York in September last year. In the Japanese and Korean Art auction, the work Unknown sold for USD 6,375.00 (€ 6,516.41) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,500.00. This high result makes Unknown the most expensive artwork by Tsuchiya Koitsu that we have observed at auctions so far.
