Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2013 Phillips in New York held the auction Latin America, which included this untitled work by Tunga. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,593.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tunga achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Palíndromo incesto in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 149,000.00 (€ 109,237.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2013 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Latin America durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Tunga zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.593,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tunga erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Palíndromo incesto im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 149.000,00 (€ 109.237,54).
