In November 2015 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale), which included the work In The Hallway Of The Shwedagon Pagoda by U Lun Gywe. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 300,000.00 (€ 36,640.79), 67% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by U Lun Gywe; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Spectrum of Burmese Colour sold at auction in November 2019 with the realized price of HKD 325,000.00 (€ 37,693.98).

Im November 2015 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit In The Hallway Of The Shwedagon Pagoda von U Lun Gywe zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 300.000,00 (€ 36.640,79) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von U Lun Gywe; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Spectrum of Burmese Colour im November 2019 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 325.000,00 (€ 37.693,98).
