Auction result misses estimated price range

In May 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Mountain Carnival, Winter from 'Warabegoyomi' Children the Year Around, 1955-65 by Shōji Ueda for GBP 2,500.00 (€ 3,180.11). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Shōji Ueda - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Self-Portrait With Cat ('Me And Cat'), which sold at auction in April 2011 for USD 10,000.00 (€ 6,747.18).

Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne

Im Mai 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Mountain Carnival, Winter from 'Warabegoyomi' Children the Year Around, 1955-65 von Shōji Ueda für GBP 2.500,00 (€ 3.180,11) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Photographs bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00.
