The work Castagneto by Umberto Lilloni was auctioned at Christies in Milan in May 2000. Here, the upper estimate of ITL 30,000,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for ITL 30,550,000.00 (€ 26,200.69). With this result, Castagneto is even the most expensive work of art by Umberto Lilloni that we have observed at auctions so far.
