Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bikuni bashi secchu (Bikuni Bridge in snow) by Utagawa Hiroshige II was sold in the Japanese and Korean Art auction at Christies in Los Angeles in September this year. The price achieved of USD 3,024.00 (€ 2,857.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Utagawa Hiroshige II achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Album comprenant 62 estampes de la série Shokoku meisho hyakkei (les cent vues célèbres des provinces) in June 2007 with an auction result of EUR 45,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bikuni bashi secchu (Bikuni Bridge in snow) von Utagawa Hiroshige II wurde im September diesen Jahres in der Auktion Japanese and Korean Art bei Christies in Los Angeles versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.024,00 (€ 2.857,14) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Utagawa Hiroshige II erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Album comprenant 62 estampes de la série Shokoku meisho hyakkei (les cent vues célèbres des provinces) im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 45.600,00.
