Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Foreigners' Residence In Yokohama by Utagawa Yoshikazu for GBP 625.00 (€ 733.90). This price was achieved in the auction Japanese Art Online at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 700.00 – 900.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Utagawa Yoshikazu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Amerikashu no uchi Washintonfu no kei dohan no utsushi (One of the states in America: Copy of an engraving of Washington, D.C.) in March 2003 with an auction result of USD 10,755.00 (€ 9,866.97).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Foreigners' Residence In Yokohama von Utagawa Yoshikazu für GBP 625,00 (€ 733,90) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Japanese Art Online bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 700,00 – 900,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Utagawa Yoshikazu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Amerikashu no uchi Washintonfu no kei dohan no utsushi (One of the states in America: Copy of an engraving of Washington, D.C.) im März 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.755,00 (€ 9.866,97).
