The work Country Settlement under threatening Clouds by Vladimir Alexandrovich Serov was sold in the RUSSIAN PAINTINGS AND WORKS OF ART auction at Christies in London in December 2000. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 11,750.00 (€ 18,717.64), 18% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Vladimir Alexandrovich Serov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Study For 'October, Domotkanovo', which sold at auction in April 2006 for USD 72,000.00 (€ 57,034.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Country Settlement under threatening Clouds von Vladimir Alexandrovich Serov wurde im Dezember 2000 in der Auktion RUSSIAN PAINTINGS AND WORKS OF ART bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 11.750,00 (€ 18.717,64) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Vladimir Alexandrovich Serov mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Study For 'October, Domotkanovo' beobachtet, die im April 2006 für USD 72.000,00 (€ 57.034,22) versteigert wurde.
