Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work Landscape by Valerie Thornton for GBP 750.00 (€ 923.92). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Valerie Thornton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The church entrance, which sold at auction in April 2007 for GBP 1,560.00 (€ 2,284.04).

Für andere Arbeiten von Valerie Thornton mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The church entrance beobachtet, die im April 2007 für GBP 1.560,00 (€ 2.284,04) versteigert wurde.
