Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dwelling House by Valery Bashenin was sold in the Escape Artists – The Non-Conformists Online auction at Sothebys in London in October 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,260.00 (€ 1,399.12) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Valery Bashenin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in February 2007 with an auction result of GBP 5,760.00 (€ 8,538.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Dwelling House von Valery Bashenin wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion Escape Artists – The Non-Conformists Online bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.260,00 (€ 1.399,12) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Valery Bashenin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.760,00 (€ 8.538,99).
