Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Intervals (VII) by Valeska Soares was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2013, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 11,875.00 (€ 9,143.06). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Valeska Soares - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Model After Vanishing Point), which sold at auction in September 2018 for USD 23,750.00 (€ 20,435.38).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Intervals (VII) von Valeska Soares im Mai 2013 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 11.875,00 (€ 9.143,06) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Valeska Soares mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Model After Vanishing Point) beobachtet, die im September 2018 für USD 23.750,00 (€ 20.435,38) versteigert wurde.
