The work Hohe Promenade In Zürich by Varlin was auctioned at Sothebys in Zurich in December 2018. It achieved a price of CHF 30,000.00 (€ 26,632.33), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. Admittedly, works by Varlin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Winter in Bondo, 1971/72 in May 2015 with an auction result of CHF 168,000.00 (€ 162,483.54).

Die Arbeit Hohe Promenade In Zürich von Varlin kam im Dezember 2018 bei Sothebys in Zürich zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von CHF 30.000,00 (€ 26.632,33) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Varlin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Winter in Bondo, 1971/72 im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 168.000,00 (€ 162.483,54).
