Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work Danish from Refsnæs by Vilhelm Hammershøi for GBP 125,000.00 (€ 146,145.28). This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Paintings at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 150,000.00 – 250,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vilhelm Hammershøi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Stue (Interior with an Oval Mirror) in May last year with an auction result of USD 6,300,000.00 (€ 5,870,841.49).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Danish from Refsnæs von Vilhelm Hammershøi für GBP 125.000,00 (€ 146.145,28) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 150.000,00 – 250.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vilhelm Hammershøi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Stue (Interior with an Oval Mirror) im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.300.000,00 (€ 5.870.841,49).
