In October 2000 Christies in London held the auction 19C EUROPEAN ART, which included the work The mandolin shop by Vincenzo Capobianchi. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 35,250.00 (€ 60,252.33), 18% above the upper estimate. Other works by Vincenzo Capobianchi have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 67,689.35) in November 2013 for the work Chez le luthier.
