Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, which included the work The Skipper'S Birthday by Walter Dendy Sadler. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 20,889.16) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Walter Dendy Sadler - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work British for He’S A Jolly Good Fellow And So Say All Of Us, which sold at auction in November 2016 for USD 47,500.00 (€ 44,904.52).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 20.889,16) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00.
